Do You Take Reservations?

Does Haute take reservations?

Haute will not be taking reservations in 2020. Other than during special events, Haute will be first-come, first-serve

If I made a reservation for the main floor brasserie, does it include a reservation at Haute?

Though all of our guests are invited to enjoy Haute before or after their meal in our brasserie, with only 40 seats at Haute we are not able to reserve Haute when our guests are dining at our brasserie. However, we make it easier for diners in our main floor dining room to have a drink after their dinner. If you are seated at a table in the brasserie and place your name on the waitlist for Haute we make a special exception not to remove your name from the list if your name is called for Haute while you're dining in the brasserie with us. Usually we'd delete a name from the list if the party hasnt arrived within 10 minutes of being notified that their table is ready at Haute; but in the case of diners in the brasserire, we will not delete your name when you're called and so your spot on the list will be held until you're done dining with us and you'll usually be at or near the top of the list by the time you finish.

Can I reserve the entirety of Haute for a private party or event?

Yes, please take a look at our Haute Event Guide here, and contact us about your event here. Haute can also be combined with our indoor venues which opens up many options for business meetings, weddings, rehearsal dinners and most any other event you can dream of.

How does the Haute waitlist work?

With limited capacity for guests at Haute there are often more guests that wish to visit Haute than we have capacity for. Because of this we often keep a wait-list. You can join that waitlist only by personally visiting the host-stand on the ground floor of New Hotel Mertens. Once on the list we will text you when your table is ready. To respect all of our guests that are on the waitlist we must remove a guest from the list if/when they do not arrive within 10 minutes of being texted by our staff and they will effectively lose their spot in line. We don't like when that happens, so please please please don't be late!

What time does the Haute waitlist open?

You may place your name on the waitlist for Haute as early as 15 minutes before the opening time at Haute. Please keep in mind that only guests that are present at the host-stand many be placed on the list.

Is the main floor open late while I wait, even if it's late at night?

Yes, and we will have beautiful outdoor seating n the main floor and great wine carafe prices to keep you occupied while you wait!

How does service work once I am seated at Haute in 2020

We will not be offering table service at Haute in 2020. Once your table is secured at Haute you walk up to our service window to place your order. Since we want to maintain separation, a virtual line will form by signing into our virtual queue and you will be texted when it is your turn to approach the service window. You will place your order and be served there while you are alone at the window. You can re-join the que for another round of ordering at any time via the same method.

All orders will have a gratuity of 18% and 6% sales tax added automatically to your bill. You may close your tab if you’d like a receipt or keep it open if you desire. If you choose to keep it open, we will close it automatically as you leave; though please know that we will not be able to provide a receipt if you choose this method.

To ensure the safety of our guests, please do not approach the service window for any reason unless you are called there by the system.

We appreciate your patience as we learn to adjust to this new way of serving our guests!

Haute Menu

Can I bring my food from the Main Floor up to Haute?

Yes, you can bring food and beverage only from other Mertens venues at 35 Oakes with you at Haute. We dont have the staff to be able to deliver 9th St Steaks or Pronto Pasta to you and we will also do not have the ability to offer condiments and other supplies if you decide to bring up food from the first floor, but this year we are permitting it! It's worth noting that for private events we can prepare a wider range of food and beverage. Those details can be found in our Haute event guide.

How Does the Virtual Queue System Work?

You can join the que via a simple link that we post on signs throughout Haute. There are no apps to download. We will text you when we’re ready to serve to you at the service-window.
